Before this service launches or accepts customer documents
This policy is otherwise complete. One verified detail is still outstanding and must be added before it can be relied upon:
- Registration with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is in progress; the registration reference will be added here once issued.
Who we are
Mr Appeal Your Ticket is a trading name of Parking Disputes Ltd (company number 16921169), an independent appeal-support service for UK parking and traffic tickets. We are not a council, Transport for London, a police force, a government authority or a regulated law firm.
Registered office: First Floor, 83d London Road, Romford, Essex, RM7 9QD, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy; you can contact us at info@mrappealyourticket.co.uk.
What we collect
At the moment the online ticket-assessment tool does not save what you enter: it only builds a WhatsApp message that you choose to send to us yourself. When you contact us on WhatsApp, we may receive your phone number, the messages you send, and any photos or PDF documents you share with us, including images of your parking or traffic notice and supporting evidence. We only collect what you choose to give us.
How we use it
We use the information you send to review your notice, identify whether there may be grounds to challenge it, and explain your options. We do not use automated scoring to promise a guaranteed outcome, and a person reviews the information you provide.
Treating your documents as sensitive
Parking and traffic notices can contain personal information, including your vehicle registration and, in some cases, details about the circumstances of an incident. We treat everything you send us as sensitive and only use it to help with your enquiry. Our system logs are designed to leave out names, contact details, vehicle registrations, documents and payment details.
Retention and deletion
We keep documents, messages and case records for as long as your case is open, and for 90 days after it closes, so we can handle any follow-up questions or a reopened case. After that we anonymise the case rather than deleting it outright (see below). Records of a payment (never full card details) may be kept for longer where UK accounting and tax rules require it, generally up to 6 years.
To ask us to delete your information, message us on WhatsApp at 07448 866678, and we will action any request we are legally able to fulfil.
Automated processing
We use some automated tools to help operate this service. A person handles the substance of your case:
- Photo scanning (OCR). If you upload a photo of your notice, an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) reads the printed details back to you as an editable draft. You review and correct it yourself before anything is submitted — nothing is acted on from a scanned photo automatically.
We do not use a third-party CRM; case records are stored in our own database.
We do not use automated scoring or an algorithm to decide the outcome of your appeal.
Your rights
Depending on applicable data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@mrappealyourticket.co.uk or on WhatsApp at 07448 866678.
